BGD Joined Several “Belt and Road” Academic Alliance

In order to follow the national “Belt and Road" development strategy and future development plan of our university, the international office develops cooperation with colleges and universities in countries along the Belt and Road route. During this semester, our university has successfully joined the BREC-CEAIE, China-CEEC Higher Education Institutions Consortium and TCEA, which marks the educational exchange and cooperation between our university and those of “Belt and Road" countries comes to a new level.

 

Belt & Road Education Committee, China Education Association for International Exchange (BREC-CEAIE) was established on December 22nd, 2019 at Fudan University. As a non-profit organization affiliated to CEAIE, BREC is consisted of domestic Chinese educational institutes that have distinctive accomplishments in Belt and Road international education exchange, including institutes and agencies in higher education, vocational education and elementary education. 

 

China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Higher Education Institutions Consortium was originated from Bucharest Guidelines for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries in November 2013 and was formally established in September 2014. The consortium is committed to building cooperative platform  between universities in China and Central and Eastern Europe to integrate and share educational resources and deepen exchange and cooperation. The Secretariat of the Chinese side is founded at China Education Association for International Exchange and that role is taken in turn by members from CEEC countries. The third one (2020-2022) is set at Transilvania University of Brașov in Romania. By September 2020, the Consortium has 223 members from China and Central and Eastern European Countries.

 

The Thai-Chinese Education Alliance Proposal was set to serve Thai and Chinese educational institutions and promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of talent training, joint running of schools, and education and academic exchanges. The alliance is started by six authoritative business associations in Thailand and supported by governmental and non-governmental educational institutions of the two countries. Eights universities from both countries are the founding members of the alliance.     

 

With the participation of several academic organizations, our university also has reached cooperation intentions and signed the cooperation agreement with Budapest Metropolitan University in Hungary. Meanwhile, cooperation discussions with Siam University in Thailand and Belarusian State University in Belarus have been made and cooperation agreements will be signed in the future.
