On November 4th and 5th, Jointly sponsored by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, College English Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and China Foreign Language and Education Research Center, the 2023 “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” and "Understanding Contemporary China" National English Speech for College Students (Beijing Competition) came to a successful conclusion in Beijing Forestry University.

120 competitors from 59 universities in Beijing competed on the same stage. In the end, 22 gold awards, 42 silver awards and 56 bronze awards were awarded. Chen Xinyi from Class 21-1 of School of Mechanical Engineering and Ma Tianxin from Class 22-2 of the School of Humanities won the silver award and the bronze award respectively. The advisor Yang Yunzhan and Song Wenli won the advisor award.
