Students from BGD have successfully completed the internship work of “Two Sessions” reporting
At the recommendation of the Mock Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Studio of Ideological and Political Theory Department of BGD, students Lu Huidi and Jia Xiaohan, majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,Huang Wenbin, majoring in digital media art, and Liu Siyu, majoring in visual communication design, were chosen to perform the task of reporting the “Two Sessions” for their internship, from January 17th to March 31st, for the CPPCC Newspaper and accompanying network.
This year, the “Two Sessions” were held during a special time period: that of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Also worthy of special note is the fact that this same period marked the run-up to the opening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (NCCPC). Reporting on the sessions constitutes a special opportunity cherished by those fortunate enough to be selected. This year, the lucky candidates were mainly tasked with participating in the distribution of content on such social media platforms as Weibo, Toutiao, and Bajia. They were also responsible for editing articles appearing under the headline "Members Speak of Changes".
During internship, our students learn from professionals and dedicate themselves to working hard and to setting a good example of the spiritual and moral state of modern college students as well as the virtue of patriotism advocated by the university. Their excellent performance has gained recognition from both leaders and tutors alike.
The Mock CPPCC studio was established in October of 2020 by the Department of Ideological and Political Theory of the College of Humanities in cooperation with the CPPCC Newspaper and Network “If I were a member” platform and the Haidian District CPPCC for students of all majors at the university. It plays an important role in achieving the reform and innovation of the practical application of ideological and political education.
Through a combination of classroom tuition and internship within reputable organizations, young college students come to understand the significant advantages of a socialist system with characteristics unique to China, thus strengthening their ideological education. Since the establishment of the studio, students have been recommended to participate in the "Two Sessions" report work for two consecutive years.
In the future, the studio aims to organize a variety of practical activities which will give students a chance to experience the superiority of the Chinese socialist system. What is more, the studio hopes to teach students to love and serve our country by making their own contributions to the great work of upholding and developing the Chinese model of socialism, building a strong modern socialist country, and achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
