On September 13, the opening ceremony of class 2020 of Gengdan Institute of Beijing University of Technology was held in Gengdan lecture hall; nearly 1300 new students attended the opening ceremony. Due to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, reducing the gathering of personnel and ensuring the health and safety of students, our school arranged each secondary college holds the opening ceremony separately. The school leaders who attended the opening ceremony included President Lin Yanzhi, Party Secretary Bai Zhiqiang, vice presidents Li Yongjun, Liu Lin and Xu Shengyun, and Deputy Secretary Sun Lei. Dr. Frank McMahon, honorary principal, made a video speech to welcome the new students.
