On April 26 morning,HAAGA-HELIA ammattikorkeakoulu international education project director Pasi,senior lecturer Dr.Jari,China affairs director Zhao Han visited GengDan Institute,GengDan Institute teaching vice President Xu Fei,principal assistant Tian Ye,dean of the School of Humanities Li Jie,and teachers'representative,international office Gong Chen teachers participate in the reception.

On behalf of the Institute,President Xu Fei welcomed the Finnish guests.Then President Li Jie introduced the cooperation intention reached with HAAGA-HELIA ammattikorkeakoulu during our visit to Finland in 2019,and expressed her expectation to further in-depth cooperation with HAAGA-HELIA ammattikorkeakoulu.Principal assistant,Tian Ye introduced the current international communication work of our school to the visiting guests.The university can provide students with rich opportunities for overseas exchange and set up overseas exchange scholarships.He said that although during the epidemic period,nearly 100 students also went to study abroad,which reflected our students'positive attitude towards overseas exchanges and their strong willingness to study abroad.Tian Ye said that he also welcomes Finnish students to study in China,and will continue to promote the exchange of visits and academic exchanges with Finnish universities in the future.

Pasi,director of the transnational education program at HAAGA-HELIA ammattikorkeakoulu,introduced that the members of the Alliance of Applied Sciences consists of 27 Universities of Applied Science,the current coordinating school,which can provide more international support for Gengdan Institute in cooperation with Finnish universities.Dr.Jari,senior lecturer at HAAGA-HELIA ammattikorkeakoulu, also said that members of the Alliance of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences can share resources and look forward to more teachers and students of Gengdan Institute to exchange and study in Finnish universities in the future.

After the meeting, both universities reached consensus on further cooperation;first,to develop short courses,both universities will strive to increase the proportion of English courses offered in their respective universities to attract more students to communicate,actively promote teacher exchanges,teacher training,teacher exchange,and third,to seek for opportunities for Chinese-foreign cooperation and strive to promote degree cooperation between the two universities.
