Delegation of Gengdan Institute went to Thailand to participate in the China-Thailand Educational Cooperation and Cultural Exchange Summit

From April 28th to May 2nd, Li Jie, dean of the School of Humanities of our university, and Gong Chen, project director of the International  Office, were invited to Bangkok to participate in the China-Thailand Education Cooperation and Cultural Exchange Summit, and visited our school who are currently studying at KRIRK University. of 5 classmates.

  The theme of this summit is "Cooperation·Innovation·Development", aiming to build an open, diverse and efficient communication platform for cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in the field of international education, promote exchanges and cooperation between all parties in the field of education, and promote education Internationalization and talent internationalization. The summit was attended by representatives from more than 80 universities and educational institutions at home and abroad.


  During the summit, Dean Li Jie was invited to give a keynote speech and introduced the history of Gengdan instituteuniversity-running characteristics, professional settings and international exchanges and cooperation to the attendees. After the meeting, the participating teachers praised Gengdan institute-running characteristics a         

nd achievements, and actively established contact with representatives of our university to discuss international exchange and cooperation experiences.

  After the summit event, KRIRK University specially organized a symposium for teachers and students of Gengdan institute. Mr. Pro. Dr. Krasae Chahawohgse, President of KRIRK University and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, came to the scene in person and met with Dean Li Jie of our school and 5 students who are currently in KRIRK. Students on exchange studies at the university had a cordial exchange, and after the symposium, the "Beijing University of Technology Gengdan institute Overseas Teaching Internship Practice Base" opening ceremony was held. In the future, outstanding students from our school will be selected to conduct long- and short-term internships at KRIRK University.

  During the visit, two teachers from our school also visited Siam University, Lampang International Technical College, Thai-Chinese International School, and Lampang Yuhua Middle School to further explore opportunities for future exchanges and cooperation.

  This inspection trip to Thailand further deepened the exchanges and cooperation between our school and Thai universities in the field of education. Focusing on talent training, student exchanges, internship practice, teacher training, and studying in China, we will discuss international talent training models with international colleagues to improve the school's international education level. At the same time, through visits and studies, both parties also learn from each other's successful experiences in the field of education and promote the continuous development of their own educational undertakings. In the future, Gengdan institute will continue to provide students with more diversified exchange and learning opportunities to help them adapt to international development trends and cultivate talents with global vision and cross-cultural communication capabilities.
