Employment Promotion Week: BGD Boosts Employment for Graduates
In accordance with the guidelines and requirements for stabilizing and ensuring employment set forth by the Ministry of Education and Municipal Education Commission, Gengdan Institute of Beijing University of Technology carried out a series of activities to bolster employment for 2022 graduates in the week from May 9th to 15th.
Visiting enterprises to increase employment resources
By the end of the week, leaders of the institute had visited over 20 enterprises with a view to deepening cooperation in order to create more job opportunities for BGD graduates.
Organizing Online Job Affairs
The Office of Recruitment and Employment (ORE) organized a number of online job affairs resulting in more than 6000 job opportunities being offered by over 600 enterprises. Also, the office has strengthened cooperation with providers of employment resources including an employment platform of the Ministry of Education and Successful Employment and the WeChat channel of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission in order to broaden employment channels for students.
Inviting BGD Graduates to Share Their Employment Experiences
The ORE and the four colleges invited graduates of BGD who have been employed as either public servants, teachers, office workers at an enterprise, or admitted postgraduates to share their experiences with students.
Offering Employment Instructions to Increase Job-Seeking Competency
The ORE teamed up with Zhilian Recruitment, a one-stop professional human-resources service provider, to offer graduates training on how to communicate during interviews, make resumes, etc. They have also gathered students to attend live courses on job seeking.
Offering One-on-One Instruction
The ORE spent considerable time providing one-on-one instruction for graduates who have the most difficulties in seeking a job.
The many activities performed during Employment Promotion Week have advanced the job-seeking process for college graduates. BGD will continue to make efforts to secure extensive and quality employment for 2022 graduates.
