Gengdan Institute held an online conference with the University for Peace

On March 6, Zhang Hewang and Ou Xinyi, senior Commissioner of the Office of the Director General of the China Center of the United Nations University for Peace, held an online meeting with Wang Xiaoyu, director of the International Office, and Zhu Jiangyi, international project manager.

At the meeting, Mr. Zhang Hewang, High Commissioner of the Office of the Director General of the UN University for Peace China Center, introduced the history of the university, professional Settings, admission requirements and future plans for cooperation with Chinese universities. Subsequently, Ms. Wang Xiaoyu, director of the International Office, introduced the overall internationalization level of Gengdan Institute, the development of international exchanges in recent years, the intention and characteristics of students to study abroad, and the relevant cooperative institutions.

Next, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on 3+1+0.5 master's and master's continuous courses, winter and summer courses and teacher exchanges, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions, and will signed a cooperation agreement recently.

On 5 December 1980, the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 35/55, which, in its annex, established the International Draft for the Establishment of the University for Peace. The Charter of the University for Peace is an integral part of that agreement. Forty-one countries have become signatories to the UPEACE Charter. Headquartered in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, the University for Peace is the only university in the world authorized by the United Nations General Assembly to award master's and doctoral degrees, and all its degrees are recognized by the International Association of Universities, the Foreign Information Supervision Network of the Ministry of Education of China and the China Study Network.

At present, the University for Peace has cooperated with many institutions and colleges around the world, Including American University, Berkeley University, Brandeis University, University of Sydney, Australia, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Ateneo University Manila, Philippines, International University of Monaco, The Hague University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands, UNESCO International Institute of Water Education, Fudan University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Hebei Foreign Studies University, Yunnan University, Zhejiang International Studies University and other countries Dozens of colleges and universities.
