GAD Invited Professor Estevan to Give a Lecture

On December 10, Professor Juan Albert Estevan of Barcelona School of Design and Engineering was invited to give a lecture for students of Environmental Design at Gengdan Academy of Design. Li Ming, director of Environmental Design, Chen Lin, director International Class, teachers Wang Hongzhou, Zhao Yinuo, Yang Fan, Liu Yu and Diao Shuhui participated in the exchange with students. English teachers Xuetong and Li Juan served as interpreters.

Estevan教授以“环境设计十件事（Ten lessons on environmental design）”为主题，着重于自然环境、可持续能源与人居环境设计的密切关系，与大家分享了环境设计的十件事情。首先与同学们分享关于环境设计与自然、能源之间不可分割的相互影响关系，其次启发学生在传统与自然中找到设计的源泉，从而像自然与环境中观察与学习，最终激发出自己的设计创意。最后Estevan教授为大家分享了经典的环境设计相关案例，与同学进行互动。

Led by theme of "Ten Lessons on Environmental Design", Professor Estevan focused on the close relationship between natural environment, sustainable energy and human settlements design, and shares ten things about environmental design. First, he shared with students about the inseparable interaction between environmental design and nature and energy. Secondly, he inspired students to find the source of design in tradition and nature, so as to observe and learn from nature and environment, and ultimately stimulate their own design creativity. In the end, Professor Estevan shared some classical environmental design cases and interacted with the present students.

本次讲座开阔了学生的视野，提高了学生的专业素养，让同学们从全方位多角度深入了解空间设计的奥义与精髓，为同学们在今后的学习中，培养设计理念、创新设计思维方面打下了坚实的基础。

This lecture can broaden students’ horizons, improve their professional accomplishment and enable them to understand the meaning and essence of space design from all-round perspectives, which has laid a solid foundation for students to cultivate design concepts and innovative thinking in their future study.
